I am Antti Niemelä, and I work at Lautex as Design and Purchasing Manager. Our design team acts as a link between sales and production. At Lautex, our design focuses on manufacturing and work planning as well as reviewing and developing customer plans. Additionally, we participate in product development as needed. I am also responsible for Lautex's MED certification and fire testing.

As the Purchasing Manager, I coordinate purchasing activities and negotiate annual contracts. Although the actual purchases are distributed among several buyers and I make only a few purchases myself, procurement is a natural part of the design process as the project progresses from sales to production.

Lautex is a small company, so I sometimes take on tasks that are not directly within my areas of responsibility. This brings a nice variety to the job.
